Prototype Playtest Night
We host a Boardgame Prototype Playtest Night monthly, every first Thursday, in our main event space. This free event is for local designers and playtesters to meet and make the games of tomorrow better today! Bring your prototype (we recommend under an hour for each game– bring just a subsystem if your game is longer) or come play what other designers are offering.
This event is intended for all ages, as we’ve had family games, heavy strategy games, and social party games alike tested at past playtest nights! If you’ve gotten your game tested, we request that you test other designers’ games as well, especially the next month. Helping others makes your own ideas flow, often!

Graphic Novel Club
Our monthly Graphic Novel Club is a great way to meet and chat with other comic fans. We select a popular or topical graphic novel each month to read before the meeting, and then host discussions about the book! We love discussing comics, and our staff is knowledgeable of tropes, history, and more for each chosen book.

Open Board Game and Demo Nights
Board Game Night is a great way to connect with friends, family, and other fellow gamers at Omar’s World of Comics! Bring your favorites or try any demo game in our library, and enjoy our great space with a game. Our staff will be available to teach certain games, and we’ve also got a biweekly demo of popular games we stock. We sometimes also host visiting designers or publishers to teach their latest games!

Author, Designer, and Artist Signings
We host occasional signings with your favorite comic writers, artists, and game designers, and would love to support you if you are one! Contact us if you are interested in having a signing or demo session at Omar’s World of Comics!
