Omar’s World of Comics is proud to be hosting not one, not two, but three great comic creators this month! Each of these events are a great way to meet experts and learn more about the industry, and to get your hands on amazing and unique comics straight from the creators. Attendance is free for all, but check out the books they’ll bring!
Saturday 7/11, 2pm-4pm: Keith Gleason signing. Keith is the writer of the Mighty Mascots series, featuring cereal mascot heroes with attitude for all ages! As a local independent creator under the name Reckless Sidekick Productions, Keith has published many titles including Kid Switch, Swamp Tales, and more.
Saturday 7/18, 3pm-5pm: Stephen Weiner signing. Steve is the writer of Will Eisner: A Comics Biography, which has received great acclaim for its depiction of the early life of one of comics’ biggest names. He also has created Briandigo’s Dagger, an original fantasy story published this past Fall.
Sunday 7/19, 2pm-4pm: Fabrice Sapolsky Q&A. While possibly best-known as co-creator of the character Spider-Man Noir, Fabrice Sapolsky is now the creative powerhouse behind FairSquare Graphics, an award-winning immigrant-owned, family business focused on unique graphic novels featuring an amazingly huge swath of themes and styles. Join us for a Q&A with Fabrice to discuss everything he’s been up to since Spider-Man Noir– there’s a lot!
