April really flew by, and summer feels like it’s right around the corner already at Omar’s! This month we’ll be starting some renovations to improve and expand the events experience at the shop, and we’re excited to look into more event types in the future. (Anyone interested in some D&D or Daggerheart RPG one shots?)
We had lots of great Gundam Card Game tournaments last month, and now have a break until June 6th when we hold our next Newtype Tournament! Secrets of Strixhaven prerelease was awesome, and we’ve had some great Drafts for our Friday Night Magic events with it. Come check those out and sign up early– we’ve filled to capacity on our first couple!
On Free Comic Book Day Saturday May 2nd, we’ll have lots of free comics available for all ages in addition to our regular stock, and a special visiting artist signing starting at open, so come try out some new stories! You might just find a new favorite to subscribe to!
The next Pokemon set, Chaos Rising, is coming to our shop for a Tuesday May 26th release date, but we’ll have a Prerelease Sealed Tournament a week and a half before, too– join us for that May 16th! Space is limited! Pokemon After-School Club continues on Fridays all through the summer, and we’re aiming to have some fun events for Pokemon fans of all types and ages during the “off season” from competitive play!
